I absolutely HATE the 1970s version. The 1956 version is amazing. Thanks for sharing. This is a video that I can show my 40 year old daughter…she’d be completely disgusted by the 1970 version. Vegas Elvis is where the caricature comes from. There are a couple of songs during the Vegas years that I like, but mainly I loathe it.

All three are in college, they are from Arizona USA and they record all their own songs on a used camcorder !!!! And yes they are good, and the girl Daura has got some range and some pipes on her. They just did a Memorial day tribute to the veterans of WWII that I sent you a request on with the name of the song, THE LAST GOODBYE very moving !!! Angelina wrote Princess of Ruins to tell the story of why she performs barefoot on stage. It complements her previous book which she wrote when she 9 years old (Angelina is the youngest published author in Norway)- when Angelina was six years old in the Middle East with her family she met a young girl about her age who was weighing people in the street to earn money for herself and her family and she did not any shoes and her feet were scarred - Angelina gave the young girl her own shoes and ever since has performed on stage barefoot to remember that young girl and raise awareness about poor children. There are a lot more details to the story - but this gives you an idea of the inspiration for both the book Between Two Hearts and the song Princess of Ruins.

Peter and Paul still perform and I saw them a while ago in my hometown! Peter has certainly aged but still a joy to watch and Paul still sounds great! They will have the audience sing Mary's parts now but still a treat of a show! One of the Gordon Lightfoot songs they've covered over the years!

It would be wonderful news to hear that they have been able to change the outlook for Emma and others, it would be tragic if Emma were unable to continue to sing like she does, while she looks stunning on stage, her stamina is not good, so it is a very delicate balance to maintain her health, it would be so good to hear that the situation has been changed by the work the foundation are doing, Emma would then be free to spend more time doing what she loves so dearly.
